Volunteer

Volunteers are the driving force behind foodbanks. There are thousands of volunteers across the UK, helping The Trussell Trust Foodbank Network get emergency food to people in crisis. Our volunteer force of over 70 people are loyal and turnover is low but from time to time we do have opportunities for volunteers.

Thank you for looking at our volunteer page but we are not looking to take on any more new volunteers at this time, however the types of opportunities that are sometimes available are as follows:-

Warehouse volunteer

Helping to weigh, sort and store donated food before it is made into parcels for clients to collect.

Distribution Centre volunteer

Meet clients and give out food parcels. Have an informal chat with clients over a cup of tea, to discuss their situation and signpost to further support.
