Volunteer
Volunteers are the life blood of foodbanks. Your skills could be just what we need.
Thank you for looking at our volunteer page! Volunteers are the driving force behind foodbanks. There are thousands of volunteers across the UK, helping The Trussell Trust Foodbank Network get emergency food to people in crisis. Our volunteer force of over 70 people are loyal and turnover is low but from time to time we do have opportunities for volunteers in the following types of roles:
Warehouse volunteer
Helping to weigh, sort and store donated food before it is made into parcels for clients to collect.
Distribution Centre volunteer
Meet clients and give out food parcels. Have an informal chat with clients over a cup of tea, to discuss their situation and signpost to further support.
Volunteer Driver
Collecting food from supermarkets, and delivering crates to our distribution centres or warehouse.
